EXPOSURE, by Wilfred Owen, read by David Sibley

Exposure by Wilfred Owen read by my old friend, the wonderful actor David Sibley. David once played Owen in a BBC2 Playhouse production, The Fatal Spring (New York Film and TV Festival Gold award, Nato Peace prize) and his great anger and compassion struck him as being as relevant now as ever. David and I entered a conversation about a visual element to the reading and this is our offer of a bit of ourselves getting alongside Ukraine....Lest We Forget.

Exposure was filmed primarily at the Russian Embassy in London and the poppy fields of France.

QUOTES

“Mesmerising and so assured, I felt immediately that I could trust this to take me somewhere liminal. I particularly liked the way the tree seemed to be floating as the frame shifted a millimetre or two now and then. Though I had to keep reminding myself to listen to the words as well. Our brains ache... yes, well.” Sue Lanzon

“It wasn’t just the film or the words or the reading, it was the sum of the parts that was so incredibly poignant.” Tim Hardy
